Founded by Nick Stoubis, Aegis Infinity Records was established to release recordings that may not stylistically or commercially fit into the catalogue of other larger record companies. The focus of the label is to support artists with projects that may not otherwise see the light of day because of modern-day commercial constraints and demands. With this intent of supporting non-traditional artists, Aegis Infinity Records strives to release vibrant and unique musical projects.

The first release by A.I.R. is Nick Stoubis – MOSAIC, The Music of Greece. This recording features Nick Stoubis on the bouzouki and on the guitar and is a world music release with sound of Greece at its core. The release features twelve selections, nine of which were composed by Stoubis. It also includes three classic selections by Greek composers and masters of the bouzouki, Markos Vamvakaris (Ta Matoklada Sou Lampoun, Fragosyriani) and Vassilis Tsitsanis (Sinefiasmeni Kyriaki).

Mixed, engineered and produced by Stoubis, Mosaic was recorded at Aegis Infinity Studios in Los Angeles between August of 2002 and November of 2003. It was mastered in Westminster, CA by John Vestman on November 21, 2003.
